Mooloolaba is the main port of call for trawlers and other fishing vessels bounty laden with prawns, scallops and an abundant variety of fish ready for export or to be sold directly to the public at a number of fresh seafood venues. Aquaculture industries also thrive with Red Claw Crayfish, Barramundi and prawns are all being farmed extensively on the Sunshine Coast along side some of the more experimental species such as eels and other fish varieties.

Look out for: Red Claw Crayfish, Spanner Crabs, fresh Barramundi, smoked eel.
