Back to Nambour Festival

The Back to Nambour Festival is proudly presented by Nambour Festivals Inc.

This event encourages and enhances the personality of the town by connecting local businesses,
supporting musicians, growers, local community groups, up-and-coming entrepreneurs and artisans of the Sunshine Coast.

Last year’s inaugural Festival was an outstanding success, delivering a high quality, well attended week-end of events that celebrated everything positive about Nambour. Nambour Festivals Inc. recognise the need for this annual Festival to become a broader celebration – to identify the people, groups and organisations, lifestyle and positive attributes, through a free, family friendly festive week-end for all.

This year’s ‘Back to Nambour Festival’ was on Friday 7th August at the Nambour Civic Centre with ‘Nambour's Festival of Fashion’, run by the Nambour Chamber of Commerce; featuring
fashion retailers as well as recycled and sustainable garments from TAFE fashion design students.
Following on from this we have ‘Nambour’s Moonlight Market’ from 5-9pm, forecourt of Sunshine Coast
Regional Council in Bury Street.

Saturday 8th August a ‘Festival Day at Quota Park’ was a full day of activities, interactive workshops, information, displays, entertainment, festivities, art, and music with a headlining performance by the Australian South Sea Island community and a ‘Local Harvest’ food section.

The ‘Local Harvest’ was a showcase of culinary delights, with some of the region’s best local growers,
producers, chefs, foodies, permaculture displays, cooking demos and food and wine tastings.

The ‘Art Gallery of the Sunshine Coast’ will add another flavour to the event, offering a true historical and
contemporary flavour of 'Back to Nambour' by presenting an Art Trail along Petrie Creek.

We would like to invite you to be a part of Nambour’s community spirit, by becoming a stallholder /
exhibitor and to contribute in making this year’s Festival another success.

Craft and markets stalls are required for the Moonlight Market - Foodies, producers, community groups, workshop artisans and entertainers are required for the ‘Festival Day at Quota Park’ and the ‘Local Harvest’
