There is an abundance in the way of vegetables grown on the Sunshine Coast; there are at least a dozen varieties of leafy greens, flavoursome vine-ripened tomatoes, mushrooms alongside some quite unusual choices such as Jeruselum artichokes and Thai eggplant. Asian cuisine has also inspired the growth of a multitude of zesty greens and tubers such as lemon grass, turmeric, galangal and kaffir limes. Markets are the best source for fresh produce.
Look out for: Baby lettuce salad mixes, Seed and tubers for growing, Curry Pastes, Chutneys, Pimiento de Padron peppers, Lemon Grass Tea, Kaffir Lime & Lemon Grass Oil, Fresh vine-ripened tomatoes, Bush Tomato Sauce, sun dried tomatoes, relishes and chutneys.
