There is a great awareness for organically grown produce on the Sunshine Coast. More and more growers are opting for chemical free methods. Although there are many growers and producers that are using organic methods there are only a handful that actually have the required certification to label themselves organic. There are a few organic retail outlets but the best place to source fresh organic fruit and vegetables is the local farmers markets.
Look out for: fresh fruit and vegetables, organic tea, preserves, organic meat and poultry, tempeh.
