Wonderfully, the Sunshine Coast has gained a number of independent dairies that have managed to pries their products on to Supermarkets and convenience store shelves as well as supplying other industry producers. Along with the milk has come a wonderful array of flavoured yoghurts, milks, cream and ice cream.
Cheese making also has quite a few stellar performers on the coast. While Gympie Cheese focuses on handcrafted goat’s cheese, Maleny Dairies and Kenilworth Country Foods are producing some fabulous everyday cheeses.
Look out for: fresh milk and cream, yoghurts, hand made icecreams and ice cream cakes, fetta, fetta in oil, chevre, Roma Malling, camenbert & brie, sundried tomato & wasabi flavoured cheeses and ricotta and cream cheeses.
